LET’S READ ROMANS 8:13-14
13 For if you live according to the flesh you will die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. 14 For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.
LET’S OBSERVE:
What two ways of living does the text mention?
What consequences does each one have?
What does “put to death the deeds of the flesh” mean?
LET’S ANALYZE IN LIGHT OF THE WORD
In what situations is it hardest for you to “put the flesh to death”?
Are you making decisions guided by emotions or by the Spirit?
What evidence is there in your life that you are being led by God?
LET’S APPLY
What concrete actions will you take this week to put into practice what you learned today?
In Conclusion:
The inner man is strengthened in order to:
Overcome the flesh: Not by human strength, but by the Spirit. Inner strengthening gives us self-control and discernment. Without strengthening → the flesh dominates. With the Spirit → there is victory.
Live a spiritual life: Not just exist… but live with peace, freedom, and purpose.
Be led by the Spirit: He directs decisions, corrects paths, and shapes character.
Affirm our identity as children: We don’t just believe… we live as children.
